The original Mirror’s Edge, while being just shy of a massive hit, was an extremely good game that resonated with millions of players. Unfortunately for those players, DICE and EA have been somewhat cagey about the possibility of releasing a sequel, with questions about Mirror’s Edge 2 always being answered with “Maybe.”
However, new rumors out of Sweden indicate that DICE may very well be working on a new game in the Mirror’s Edge franchise, and has been for some time. Here’ s former DICER and current ngmoco general manager Ben Cousins on the topic:

This is all unsubstantiated, of course, but it does make sense that EA would want to try a sequel rather than just leave the IP to rot. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
